Our Bexhill branch hosted a customer golf day at Sedlescombe Golf Club where we had 16 customers playing in 4 x four balls with Stapleford rules, and three par 3 nearest the pin challenges.
The Club really looked after us, and put together a very competitive package, which included bacon rolls & coffee before 18 holes of golf with buggies, followed by a very hearty ham, egg, and chips meal after the hard day of golf.
They very kindly allowed Jon Moore from SPS to act as “Water Boy” and take a cool box round in a buggy to keep the lads hydrated on what was a gloriously hot sunny day. Everyone chucked £20 into the kitty for prize money to make things a little more interesting which never fails to liven up the competition!
Beneath Heat and Worcester Boilers both contributed towards the day alongside SPS Bexhill and everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable day, and we are sure we’ll be doing another golf day in the future.
The winner was Ian Stinson, coming in with a score of 37 (£100)
Second place went to Pat Hanlon (on count back) with a score of 35 (£60)
Third place went to Mark Stevens with a score of 35 (£40)
Fourth place went to Ben Hanlon with a score of 34 (box of golf balls)
Steve Newbury picked up the wooden spoon (actually a box of golf balls)
Nearest the pin winners…
Hole 3 went to Mark Stevens £40
Hole 10 went to Ed Mason    £40
Hole 13 also went to Ed Mason £40
