SPS organised a golf day at Wellshurst Golf Club in Hellingly on June 25th. 16 players consisting of SPS team members, customers and suppliers all arrived bright and early in glorious conditions to enjoy a fantastic day of golf.
The day started off perfectly with a coffee and bacon roll followed by 18 holes of high quality golf! Prizes were on offer for best overall team, best individual, longest drive and nearest to the pin.
The longest drive was won by Jack Divall on hole 4 with a monstrous drive and nearest to the pin was won by Ollie with an incredible shot that left him 2ft from the pin and able to make a birdie!
Due to numbers, the teams were split into 4 x 3 balls and 1 x 4 ball. The best team award was judged based on the best 3 scores within a team combined The eventual winners of the team competition were Steve Garner, Jack Divall and Andy Grice with a team score of 117 points.
Best individual score was won on count-back by non other than Jack Divall (not a bad day’s golf!) who narrowly beat Noel Traynor both of whom had 40 points.
The day was finished of with a presentation and raffle. SPS would like to thank Richard from Alpha and Leon from DAB for attending and contributing and Dave from Fernox and Nick from QRL Radiators who unfortunately couldn’t make it down on the day.
All in all it was a brilliant day, in wonderful conditions and Ollie is looking forward to arranging it again next year.
