On Saturday 8th September, SPS took customers out to Team Sport Indoor Karting in Lancing. There was the usual warm up and qualifying session to give everyone their start positions, early on Billy Poole and Darren Bates showed their skills by placing themselves 1st and 2nd on the grid.

At this stage Rob Young, the branch manager, was feeling very confident having secured 3rd on the grid. A considerable improvement over last place the previous year.

After a small break everyone was back into their karts for the main race. Lights out and away we go! 15 laps on the board, Rob Young had a great start and overtook Darren Bates and Billy Poole to take first position from the start. After a race full of spins and crashes Billy Poole was the first across the line, followed by Darren Bates in second and Paul Scothern in 3rd place.

Congratulations to the top 3 finishers! A special mention should go to Ian Glennister who finished 2 laps behind everyone else. Also Rob Young who started in 3rd and finished second to last (standard). The morning ended with a beer and pizza.

SPS would like to thanks Nick Clarke, Darren bates, Paul Scothern, Ian Glennister, Billy Poole and George Bashford for coming along and racing.
