Iain’s Story
‘After my own battles with my health I decided to do something about it. I have signed up to this challenge, hiking 100km from eastbourne to arundel along southdown way. Let me tell you this is no easy feet. I am trying to complete this ultra challenge in under 30 hrs. I will continue through the night, so no sleep just hard work.
‘I am raising money for an amazing charity. Combat Stress help veterans who struggle with ptsd. After meeting Joe Townsend ( Double amputee , Royal Marine, Paralympian and all round nice bloke) at a charity event last year where we were raising money for this great charily I decided i wanted to do more.
‘It has taken me 10 months to get myself ready for this challenge. I have lost over 3 stone and been training since january 1st. I am not taking this challenge lightly and have every intention of completing it though blood sweat and determination, spurred on by the inspiration of Joe and all our veterans.
