On the 19th January, SPS Uckfield celebrated 10 years of trading in the town.
All in all, the day was very successful with lots of customers, past staff members, SPS management and manufacturers stopping by to congratulate us.
We had our very own Andy Grice cooking everyone breakfast first thing and then Richard from Fernox provided a pizza lunch and If you know anything about the Uckfield branch, you know that we like to eat!
We had a very busy day with our very Simon Kerr winning the hotdog eating contest with him managing to consume 4 in 2 minutes and winning himself a nice little trophy. We also had a ‘how many fittings in jar’ competition which Andy Merrit (more lovingly known as Spud) won, winning himself a £50 Amazon voucher by providing the closest guess of 182 (actual amount was 178).
Ed Mower and Steve Breese picked themselves up a drone and a M&S hamper on our raffle which were generously provided by Lee Andrews at Merlyn and Elliott Grieve from VADO and bottles of Prosecco where won throughout the day with our ‘blue ticket draw’.
In true Uckfield SPS fashion, we also had a Nerf gun shooting range where customers had to hit targets to win themselves an SPS bag for life, but, the biggest news of the day was that the SPS bakeoff was won by Joe Walton with his Biscoff cheesecake, much to the dismay of Andy Grice who is still yet to win any form of baking or cooking challenge at the branch (you’ve got to try harder Gricey).
Since the first day Andy, Aaron and Joe opened the doors, 10 years ago, we have been very warmly welcomed by local plumbers and the community. The branch has been a great success story and all the staff here would like to thank everyone for their support , kindness and business over the years. We could not have been as successful as we have been without you all and we really appreciate each and every one of you.
Also a big thank you to Richard, Lee and Elliott who provided prizes and support on the day.
Here’s to another 10+ years!
